The authors study quasi-morphic rings introduced by Camillo and Nicholson. Nicholson and Sánchez Campos have made a systematic study of morphic rings. The authors try to generalize the results of Nicholson and Sánchez Campos to quasi-morphic rings. The authors give an example of a quasi-morphic ring which is neither regular nor morphic nor direct product of regular rings and morphic rings. They prove that if \(R\) is a regular ring and \(n\) is a nonnegative integer then matrix rings over \(R[x]/(x^{n+1})\) are quasi-morphic. The authors, in an earlier paper, have proved that if \(n\) is a positive integer, a ring \(R\) is unit-regular if and only if \(R[x]/(x^{n+1})\) is morphic. Here they consider the question that whether \(R\) is regular if and only if \(R[x]/(x^{n+1})\) is quasi-morphic. Though they have proved the `only if' part, they prove the `if' part if further \(R\) is ZC (zero commutative) (which they call reversible). Next the authors study centrally morphic rings. They prove that if \(n\) is a positive integer, a ring \(R\) is strongly regular if and only if \(R[x]/(x^{n+1})\) is left centrally morphic. They also prove that a ring \(R\) is strongly regular if and only if \(R\) is semiprime and left centrally morphic. They conclude the paper with some characterizations of left centrally left morphic rings.
