We propose a variational mollification method to solve circular deconvolution problems, where we reconstruct a mollified target object rather than the exact solution. We provide explicit convergence rates for deterministic data perturbations under smoothness assumptions and demonstrate its effectiveness with synthetic and wind-direction data experiments.
