The authors study cohomological properties of multigraded modules over non-standard multigraded algebras and their Veronese transforms. In particular, they focus their work on generalized depth and local cohomology modules. The main results in the paper show that the generalized depth of a module is invariant by taking Veronese transforms (Theorem 1.4 and Proposition 1.4), study the vanishing of the local cohomology modules of a multigraded module (Proposition 2.7) and proof that the depth of a Veronese module is asymptotically constant (Theorem 2.12). This last result is applied to the multigraded Rees algebras associated to a finite set of ideals (Proposition 2.15). To reach these results, the authors use several techniques. They extend previous results on homogeneous ideals of \(\mathbb{Z}\)-graded rings to non-standard \(\mathbb{Z}^r\)-graded rings. They link the projective Cohen-Macaulay deviation of a multigraded module with the generalized depth (Theorem 1.3) and extend the notion of finite graduation to the non-standard grading framework, proving that under special degrees, the generalized depth coincides with its finite graduation order (Theorem 2.8).
