In this article the author continues the study of the universal central extensions of infinite dimensional Lie algebras. In the affine Kac-Moody case, the universal central extension is one-dimensional. For the ``higher nullity'' EALAs, the universal central extensions are infinite dimensional. In [J. Pure Appl. Algebra 34, 265--275 (1984; Zbl 0549.17009)] \textit{C. Kassel} constructed the universal central extensions of untwisted multiloop Lie algebras by using Kähler differentials. This is much more complicated in the twisted case. Kassel's model has been generalized by \textit{S. Berman} and \textit{Ya. Krylyuk} in [J. Algebra 173, No. 2, 302--347 (1995; Zbl 0852.17020)] under certain conditions that twisted multiloop Lie tori do not satisfy. In [C. R. Math. Acad. Sci., Soc. R. Can. 26, No. 3, 90--96 (2004; Zbl 1072.17012)] \textit{E. Neher} constructed central extensions of centerless Lie tori by using centroidal derivations and states that the graded dual of the algebra of skew centroidal derivations gives the universal central extension of a centerless Lie torus. However, it is difficult to calculate the centroidal derivations in general. In the paper under review, the author gives sufficient conditions for the descent construction given earlier by \textit{A. Pianzolo, D. Prelat} and the author in [Manuscr. Math. 122, No. 2, 137--148 (2007; Zbl 1188.17018)] to obtain the universal central extensions of twisted forms of split simple Lie algebras over rings. In particular, the universal central extensions of twisted multiloop Lie tori are given by the descent construction and a good understanding of the center is provided.
