    The author gives a global asymptotical stability result for the following rational difference equation \[ x_{n}=\frac{f\left( x_{n-k_{1}},x_{n-k_{2}},\dots ,x_{n-k_{\rho }}\right) }{ g\left( x_{n-k_{1}},x_{n-k_{2}},\dots ,x_{n-k_{\rho }}\right) },\tag{1} \] with \(x_{-k_{\rho }},x_{-k_{\rho }+1},\dots ,x_{-1},x_{0}\in \left( 0;+\infty \right) \), where \(f\) and \(g\) have some special symmetric form such that the equation (1) has a unique positive equilibrium \(\bar{x}=1\). The author's main result is a direct application of the result of \textit{N. Kruse} and \textit{T. Nesemann} [J. Math. Anal. Appl. 235, 151--158 (1999; Zbl 0933.37016)].
