We extend parameterized Young measures to 2D and apply them to Kelvin-Helmholtz instability, comparing Young-measure schemes of different orders with standard Lax-Friedrichs flux-splitting schemes and LLF equipped with an entropy-based local characteristic decomposition. We show that the Young-measure approach leads to larger time-averaged physical entropy and demonstrates a feasible maximum-entropy selection mechanism.
