Let \(\mathbb A\) be the set of all algebraic numbers. The paper deals with the conditions on an algebraic number \(\alpha\), such that for certain finite sets \(\mathbb A_i\subset\mathbb A\), and linear recurrences \(\{R_{i,n}\}_{n=0}^\infty\) of positive integers, \(i\in\{ 1,2\}\) the set \[ \left\{ \sum_{n=0}^\infty \frac{\zeta_i^n\alpha^{R_{i,n}}}{1-z_i\alpha^{R_{i,n}}}; z_i\in\mathbb A_i, \zeta_i\in\mathbb A, i\in\{ 1,2\right\}, 1<\mid \zeta_1\mid , 0<\mid \zeta _2\mid <1 \} \] is the set of algebraically independent numbers over the rational numbers. The proofs are in the spirit of Mahler's method.
