The aim of this work is to study the associated family of an elliptic surface; this is a special case of the associated family to any simply connected elliptic surface for which all curvature ellipses of a certain orer are circles. For the purpoose of this paper, the most important examples are minimal surfaces in spheres that decompose as a direct sum of elements in the associated family \(h_\theta\), \(\theta\in[0,\pi)\), of a minimal surface \(h\) in \(S^3\). The authors give some interesting results. Theorem 1: Let \(g:L^2\to Q^N_c\), \(N\geq 6\), be a simply-connected substantial elliptic surface such that \(\varepsilon^g_\ell\) is a circle for some \(0\leq\ell\leq z^0-1\). If a pair of surfaces \(g_\theta,g_{\widetilde\theta}\in G_\ell\) for \(\theta\neq\widetilde\theta\) are circles for \(\ell\leq s\leq z\), then the associated family \(G_\ell\) is trivial. Finally, minimal submanifolds of rank 2 are examined. Theorem 2: A submanifold in the associated family of a minimal submanifold of rank 2 \(f:M^n\to\mathbb{R}^N\) can be locally parametrized as \(f_\theta(\delta)= k_\theta(x)+ \phi_\theta\delta\), \(\delta\in\Lambda_\ell(x)\).
