The Nagata-Higman theorem (Q750573)

The author considers the famous Nagata-Higman theorem and some further investigations in related topics. The well-known results of \textit{Yu. P. Razmyslov} [Izv. Akad. Nauk SSSR, Ser. Mat. 38, 723-756 (1974); translation: Math. USSR, Izv. 8, 727-760 (1974; Zbl 0311.16016)] and of \textit{E. N. Kuz'min} [On the Nagata-Higman theorem (in Math. Structures, Comput. Math., Math. modelling, Proc. 60th birthday Academician L. Iliev, Bulg. Acad. Sci., Sofia, 1975, 101-107 (1975)] about the upper and lower bounds of the class of nilpotency are considered separately. Some interesting remarks concerning new investigations in this area are given.
