The rate-distortion region for a memoryless source encoded by two encoders is obtained and a related theorem is proved. In the coding scheme one of two decoders uses the output of both encoders. Probability exponents exceeding fixed quality levels are assumed to be given. For the proof of the theorem a combinatorial method is used.
