The evolution of particles on the lattice \(Z^ d\) in a random environment of birth rate \(\xi^+(x,\omega)dt\) is considered under the assumption that particles move to one of their nearest positions with probability \(\chi\) dt. The main results concern the n th moment \(m_ n\) of the number of particles at t if there is one particle at the beginning and at the position x. It is shown that if \(\xi^+(\chi,\omega)\) are i.i.d. with \(P(\xi^+>\tau)\sim e^{-\tau^{\gamma}}\) (\(\tau\to \infty\), \(\gamma >1)\), then \((\ln m_ n)/t(\ln t)^{1/\gamma}\to^{t\to \infty}n\cdot d^{1/\gamma}\quad (a.e.),(\ln <m^ p_ n>)/t^{\gamma /(\gamma -1)}\to^{t\to \infty}(\gamma - 1)(np/\gamma)^{\gamma /(\gamma -1)}\quad (p\geq 1)\quad (a.e.).\)Thus the intermittence of higher moments [\textit{Ya.
