In 1978, J. Lepowsky and R. L. Wilson constructed the level one standard (irreducible integrable highest weight) modules for \(A_ 1^{(1)}\), and since then the construction of standard modules for affine Lie algebras has become one of the most interesting problems in representation theory. In this paper, level two standard modules for \(A_ n^{(1)}\) are realized in the principal picture.
