Certain dynamic mixed problems of the theory of elasticity (Q755388)

Solution techniques are sketched which were used to solve for the forced response of a rigid stamp on a half space. Three frequency ranges are considered and a different approximate solution is deduced for each range. For the case of loading perpendicular to the boundary of the half space, the solutions overlap well so that, for practical purposes, the problem is solved over the entire frequency range. \{Reviewer finds the presentation somewhat terse with many references to earlier results.
