The author defines the concept of almost nonexpansive sequences in a Hilbert space. Also a direct proof of a result of H. Brézis on nonlinear ergodic theory has been given herein. Furthermore, asymptotic behaviour of almost nonexpansive sequences is studied extending his own previous result.
