A physical relation S is called a subrelation of R if \(S\subseteq R\) and the set \(\{\) S,R\(\}\) is homogeneous (in the sense of the author's earlier papers). A relation R is simple if R is the only subrelation. The main result: A physical relation R possesses a decomposition into factors which are its abstract properties, or this relation is identical with its own abstract property, if and only if R is simple.
