To prove the non-uniqueness of the solution of the problem \[ (1)\quad u_ t+(\phi (u))_ x=0,\quad u=(u^ 1,u^ 2,u^ 3,...,u^ N),\quad \phi =(\phi^ 1,\phi^ 2,...,\phi^ N);\quad u(0,x)=u_ 0(x)=u^{\pm}, \] the auxiliary problem (2) \(u_ t+(\phi (u))_ x+\epsilon u_{xx}\) is used. The purpose of the present paper is to prove that if \(\phi \in C_{loc}({\mathbb{R}}^ N)\), then the initial value problem (2) has a unique solution in the sense of the theory of generalized functions. The paper studies also other analogous problems.
