    Let E be a B-space of measurable essentially bounded real-valued functions with the ess.sup. norm and M be the class of functions which are Lebesgue integrable on every finite interval of \({\mathbb{R}}\). For any \(\alpha >0\) write \[ T_ 0f(x)=f(x),\quad T_{\alpha}f(x)=\frac{1}{\alpha}\int^{x+\alpha}_{\alpha}f(x)dx \] and let \(F=\{f\in L: \lim_{\alpha}T_{\alpha}f(x)\) exists uniformly in \(x\}\) i.e. Raimi's set of almost convergent functions. (The symbols \(\lim_{\alpha}\), \(\lim_ x\) should be taken to mean the limit as \(\alpha\to \infty\), \(x\to \infty\), respectively). In this paper the authors consider, mainly, some inclusion relations between the following sets: \[ S_{\alpha}=\{f\in L: \lim_ xT_{\alpha}f(x)\quad exists\},\quad \alpha \geq 0,\quad | S_{\alpha}| =\{f\in L: T_{\alpha}f(x)\in BV\},\quad \alpha \geq 0,\quad \] \(C_ 1=\{f\in L: \lim_{\alpha}T_{\alpha}f(0)\quad exists\}.\)
