The authors continue a study by \textit{G. P. Barker}, \textit{M. Laidacker} and \textit{G. Pole} [SIAM J. Algebraic Discrete Methods 8, 100-105 (1987; Zbl 0614.52006)]. First they give necessary and sufficient conditions for a maximal face of codimension one of a proper cone in \({\mathbb{R}}^ n\) to be respectively projectionally exposed or orthogonal projectionally exposed. These conditions are then used to prove that every polyhedral cone in \({\mathbb{R}}^ n\) is projectionally exposed as well as to characterize those proper polyhedral cones in \({\mathbb{R}}^ n\) which are orthogonal projectionally exposed. Next, the relation between exposed and projectionally exposed faces of a cone in \({\mathbb{R}}^ n\) is examined. As a corollary it is shown that there doesn't exist a cone in \({\mathbb{R}}^ n\) which is not projectionally exposed, but for which every exposed face is projectionally exposed. Projectionally exposed faces of the cone of all real polynomials of degree \(\leq n\) which are nonnegative on the interval [0,1] are also characterized. Finally, the authors study nonclosed projectionally exposed cones and state sufficient conditions for a face (not necessarily of codimension one) of a proper cone to be projectionally exposed or orthogonal projectionally exposed.
