This note indicates results on different types of algebras S which have (among others) one ''rectangular'' operation. [Reviewer's remarks: a) In all statements, this operation must be assumed to be associative and idempotent. b) The concept ''distributive'' for a ''rectangular product'' as used in Thm. 3.2 is only defined for the ''left zero product'' of an arbitrary algebra. c) The reviewer does not understand the statement of Thm. 4.1.]
