The action of the stable operations of complex K-theory on coefficient groups (Q760690)

It was observed in [\textit{J. F. Adams} and \textit{F. W. Clarke}, ibid. 21, 826-829 (1977; Zbl 0379.55012)] that the group \(K_*K\) of cooperations is a free module over the coefficient ring. In the present paper a basis is constructed in \(K_ 0K\subset K_ 0K\otimes {\mathbb{Q}}={\mathbb{Q}}[w,w^{- 1}]\) by using the idea of Adams and Clarke and some clever divisibility arguments.
