This paper presents a boundary element method (BEM) formulation and numerical implementation of thermoelasticity problems in nonhomogeneous media. The formulation uses the known kernels of the displacement equations for elasticity problems in homogeneous media. This formulation leads to a domain integral containing the unknown displacement field in addition to the usual boundary integrals with displacements and tractions. An iterative scheme is used to determine the displacement fields.
