\textit{D. Burry} has proved that any indecomposable module for any finite p-group P with P as a vertex appears as the source of an indecomposable module in any block B of any finite group G such that P is contained in a defect group of B [Proc. Am. Math. Soc. 78, 14-16 (1980; Zbl 0438.20003)]. Here the author proves the analogous result for interior algebras in the place of modules and some related results. There is also a brief introduction to interior algebras and their corestriction, a concept introduced by \textit{L. Puig} [Math. Z. 166, 117-129 (1979; Zbl 0387.16006)]; this part follows unpublished lecture notes by M. Broué.
