Let \(\{\xi_{ni}\}\) be a triangular array of independent, identically distributed random variables. This paper considers a functional limit theorem for \((\sum_{i\leq nt}\xi_{ni},\quad \max_{i\leq nt}\xi_{ni})\) under a suitable normalization.
