For a Hermitian Toeplitz matrix C the polynomial vector u(\(\lambda)\) is defined as the solution of \((\lambda I-C)u(\lambda)=(\det (\lambda I- C),0,...,0)^ T\) and the two-variable Levinson polynomial as \(u_{n- 1}(\lambda,z)=(1,z,...,z^{n-1})u(\lambda).\) The distribution of zeros of \(u_{n-1}\) inside and outside the unit circle (with respect to z for a fixed \(\lambda)\) is characterized by numbers resulting from the Schur- Cohn method. Also, for a given eigenvalue \(\lambda_ s\) and a corresponding eigenvector \(x_ s\) of the matrix C the eigenpolynomial \(x_ s(z)\) is \(x_ s(z)=(1,z,...,z^{n-1})x_ s\). The number of roots of the eigenpolynomial on the unit circle is evaluated from below.
