An operational representation for the Laguerre polynomials (Q762658)

In this paper the authors establish the operational relation \((-1)^ n[D(xD)]^ ne^{-x}=D^ n(x^ ne^{-x}),\quad D=d/dx,\) which yields a new operational representation for the simple Laguerre polynomial \(L_ n(x)\). The authors also give here the corresponding representation for the Laguerre polynomial \(L_ n^{(a)}(x)\).
