Let p(x,D) be a differential operator of order m with coefficients in \(\gamma^{(s)}(V)\) where V is a neighborhood of the origin in \(R^{n+1}\), \(x=(x_ 0,x_ 1,...,x_ n),\quad D=(D_ 0,D_ 1,D_ 2,...,D_ n),\quad D_ j=(1/i)\partial /\partial x_ j.\) Let the hyperplane \(\{x_ 0=0\}\) be non-characteristic for p(x,D). Then the author considers the local solvability of the problem: \(p(x,D)u=0;\quad D^ j_ 0u(0,x')=0,\quad 0\leq j\leq \mu -1;\quad D_ 0^{\mu}u(0,x')=\phi (x'),\) where \(x'=(x_ 1,x_ 2,...,x_ n),\quad 0\leq \mu \leq m-1.\)
