In general, Lie-Bäcklund transformations (or higher order contact transformations) are special diffeomorphisms between two manifolds of holonomic jets of sections. The paper is devoted to the study of differential-geometric structures generated by such higher order contact transformations. In particular, the author studies the structure of fundamental objects of a second order contact diffeomorphism (\(2\)-diffeomorphism). He also considers the case when a \(2\)-diffeomorphism is given by explicit equations connecting local coordinates of a \(2\)-jet manifold and established conditions under which \(2\)-diffeomorphisms defined by explicit equations are contact diffeomorphisms.
