The author considers operators of the form \((Au)(x)=\sum_{k=0}^\infty A(k)\hat{u}(k)\psi_k(x)\) where \(u\) is a function on an interval with values in \(\mathbb C^n\), \(\hat{u}(k)\) is the sequence of coefficients of its expansion with respect to an orthogonal system \(\{ \psi_k\}\), \(A(k)\) is a matrix-valued symbol. Properties of the action of such operators on a scale of Sobolev-type spaces are studied. Applications to dual integral equations, especially those corresponding to some boundary value for the Laplace an biharmonic equations, are given. Note that similar results for the scalar case (\(n=1\)) were published by the author earlier [Acta Math. Vietnam. 32, No. 1, 1--14 (2007; Zbl 1250.35191)].
