Let \(A\) be a multivalued linear operator, acting in a complex Banach space \(X\), whose resolvent is single-valued and satisfies: \[ \|(\lambda-A)^{-1}x\|_X\leq C(|\lambda|+1)^{-\beta} \|x\|_X,\;0<\beta\leq 1, \] where \(\lambda\) is in a certain region of the complex plane. The authors define and study the fractional powers of \(A\), characterize the real interpolation space between the domain of \(A\) and \(X\), study the properties of the semigroup \(e^{tA}\) and give an application to certain degenerate differential equations that can be rewritten in a multivalued evolution form.
