The authors consider the elliptic curve \(y^2=x^3-p^kx\), where \(p\) is a prime number and \(k\in\{1,2,3\}\). They prove that the rank of \(E_{k}(\mathbb{Q})\) is equal to one if and only if one of the equations \[ -S^4+p^{k}T^4=U^2 \] or \[ 2S^4+2p^{k}T^4=V^2 \] has a primitive solution, i.e. those which satisfy \(\gcd(S,T)=1\). In this case they also give a generator of \(E_{k}(\mathbb{Q})\). They also prove that the rank of \(E_{k}(\mathbb{Q})\) is equal to two if and only if both of displayed equations have primitive solutions. In this case they give two independent points in the group \(E_{k}(\mathbb{Q})\). At the end of the paper they give some subfamilies of \(E_{k}\) whose integer points and ranks can be completely determined.
