In the present book, real-time, decision-making strategies are investigated for domain search and object classification using multiple autonomous vehicle systems under limited sensory resources. After introducing the vocabulary and a literature review on the subject, Chapter 2 presents the coverage control problem. A review of the literature in coverage control is provided. Dynamic and awareness coverage control approaches are developed under deterministic framework. Corresponding to these coverage control formulations, an awareness-based decision-making strategy is proposed in Chapter 3, a Bayesian-based decision-making strategy is developed in Chapter 4 to take into account sensor errors, and in Chapter 5, a risk-based sequential decision-making strategy is presented via Bayesian sequential detection. In Chapter 6, the authors integrate Bayesian sequential detection and Bayesian sequential estimation method for the sensor management in domain search and object classification. The book may serve as a tool for students, scientists and engineers from academia and industry experienced in these attractive areas. It can be also a source for courses, which can be part of the academic program of Electrical, Control and Computer Science Departments.
