In the theory of ordinary Chow groups, one has the projective bundle formula, the self intersection formula and the blow-up formula. The author considers the higher Chow groups \(\mathrm{CH}^{r}(X,n)\) (cf. [\textit{S. Bloch} Adv. Math. 61, 267--304 (1986; Zbl 0608.14004), J. Algebr. Geom. 3, No. 3, 537--568 (1994; Zbl 0830.14003)]). In this situation, the projective bundle formula is valid and the author proves the self-intersection and blow-up formulas. The methods used are close to those used in SGA. The author proves also analogous formulas for relative motives and then derives the original formulas from them. From the formulas for relative motives the corresponding formulas for the case of mixed motives of smooth quasi-projective varieties are proved.
