The paper deals with the behaviour of the droplet which (in the percolating phase) results from conditioning the planar Fortuin-Kastelyn random cluster model in the presence of an open circuit surrounding the origin and enclosing an area of at least \(n^2\). Loosely speaking, we are in front of a system comprising two populations which do not like mixture in such a manner that so appear local fluctuations from a competition between the locally Brownian evolution of the interface and a global constraint imposed by the requirement of area capture. The paper studies the maximum local fluctuations of the outermost open circuit enclosing a given point in a subcritical random cluster model. The main contribution is the so-called surgical technique that renew the conditional circuit on the scale at which the local deviation manifests itself.
