Using transformation semigroups \(T\) acting on topological spaces \(X\) rather than transformation groups, the author defines pseudo-recurrence, in terms of which he proves, under certain assumptions on \(T\), that: 1. If \(X\) satisfies the second countability axiom, then \(X-(R\cup W)\) is of the first Baire category, where \(R\) is the set of pseudo-recurrent points and \(W\) that of wandering points; 2. If \(X\) is separable metric complete and \(R\) is the set of pseudo-recurrent points, then \(X-R\) is of the first category if and only if for any open set \(U\subset X\) and any semigroup \(S\subset T\) satisfying \(US\subset U\), \(U-US\) is of the first category. An analogue of stability is also defined and investigated.
