This paper brings general results about heat waves in homogeneous isotropic cylindrical bodies in periodic temperature fields. The following deductions are of technical significance and imply as simple special cases the results presented usually in [the author, Appl. Sci. Res. A 5, 115--120 (1955; Zbl 0064.21105)]. With the purpose of giving to engineers and physicists reliable formulae, we take pains of detailed calculations.
