Fix a Kähler manifold \((M, g, J, \omega )\) with complex structure \(J\) and associated symplectic 2-form \(\omega \). An affine special Kähler structure is a flat symplectic torsion-free connection \(\nabla \) such that \((\nabla _XJ)Y=(\nabla _YJ)X\) for all vector fields \(X\), \(Y\). The purpose of the paper under review is to study the singularities of affine special Kähler metrics in the simplest case of real dimension two. More precisely, the monodromy of the flat symplectic connection near an isolated singularity is computed. Also, continuous families of affine special Kähler structures with isolated singularities on \(\mathbb{P}^1\) are described, thus showing in particular that there exists a non-trivial moduli space of singular affine special Kähler structures. For the entire collection see [Zbl 1416.60012].
