Let \(L\) be a nef line bundle on a smooth complex projective variety \(X\). The multipoint Seshadri constant of \(L\) at \(r\) points \(x_1, \dots, x_r\) is defined as \(\varepsilon(X,L;x_1,\dots ,x_r)=\inf \big(L\cdot C /\sum_{i=1}^r\text{mult}_{x_i}(C)\big)\), the infimum being taken over all irreducible, reduced, curves \(C \subset X\) passing through \(x_1, \dots, x_r\). Restricting the attention to the complex projective plane \(\mathbb P^2\), Nagata's conjecture claims that the Seshadri constant of \(\mathcal O_{\mathbb P^2}(1)\) at \(r \geq 10\) very general points is maximal, namely \(1/\sqrt{r}\). However, no much is known for special point configurations, e.g., the singular loci of certain curve arrangements. As the authors say, their investigation is driven by the question whether the combinatorics of a line arrangement \(\mathcal L\) is sufficient to compute the multipoint Seshadri constants of \(\mathcal O_{\mathbb P^2}(1)\) at the singular points of \(\mathcal L\). By enlarging the perspective, given an arrangement \(\mathcal C=\{C_1, \dots, C_k \}\) of irreducible reduced curves in \(\mathbb P^2\), they define the configurational Seshadri constant of \(\mathcal C\), as \(\varepsilon_{\mathcal C}(\mathcal O_{\mathbb P^2}(1) )=\deg \mathcal C / \sum_{P\in {\text{Sing}}(\mathcal C) }\text{mult}_{P}(\mathcal C)\). In particular, for \(d\)-arrangements, namely, \(\deg C_i=d\) for every \(i\), all singular points of \(\mathcal C\) are ordinary, and \(\cap_{i=1}^k C_i = \emptyset\), the constant \(\varepsilon_{\mathcal C} (\mathcal O_{\mathbb P^2}(1) )\) is \(\geq\) of the multipoint Seshadri constant of \(\mathcal O_{\mathbb P^2}(1)\) at \(\text{Sing}(\mathcal C)\). Then they study several specific examples of point-curve configurations computing the values of the Seshadri constants of both types to emphasize the discrepancies. In particular, they analyze a very specific arrangement \(\mathcal C\) of \(12\) conics (Hesse arrangement), showing that the multipoint Seshadri constant centered at \(\text{Sing}(\mathcal C)\) is computed by a line.
