It is an important result in birational geometry (by \textit{C. Birkar} [``Singularities of linear systems and boundedness of Fano varieties'', Preprint, \url{arXiv:1609.05543}], see Thm. 1.1 in the paper under review and references therein) the proof of the so called BAB-conjecture, i.e., given a natural number \(d\) and a positive real number \(\epsilon\), the set of Fano varieties of dimension \(d\) with \(\epsilon\)-log canonical singularities forms a bounded family. To produce boundeness result for \(\epsilon=0\) some invariants of the pair \((X,B)\) have to be under control. The first main result of the paper under review (see Thm. 1.4) states that it is log bounded the set of klt Fano pairs \((X,B)\) of dimension \(d\), whose coefficients of \(B\) belong to a particular set and whose alpha invariant and volume are bounded away from zero. In particular, \(B=0\), the set of klt Fano varieties (under such hypotheses on their invariants) forms a bounded family (see Cor. 1.5). Upper bounds for these invariants are also provided.
