This article discusses the Sierpinski gasket as the Martin boundary of a non-isotropic Markov chain. More precisely, the authors construct a class of non-isotropic Markov chains dependent on a parameter \(p\in (0, 1/2)\) and show that the Martin boundary (which is shown to be homeomorphic to the Sierpinsky gasket) and the minimal Martin boundary are distinct and independent of the choice of \(p\). Further, a harmonic structure is described on this non-isotropic Markov chain.
