This paper looks at the map \(T(z)=(z-\lambda)^ 2\) and its iterates. For an infinite number of \(\lambda\) between 0 and 2 the Julia set of T, the set where the iterates of T don't form a normal family, is the closure of a set of trees of analytic arcs determined by T. For any \(\lambda\), \(P_ 2n\), the n:th iterate of T, is the Chebyshev polynomial of degree \(2^ n\) of the Julia set, for real \(\lambda\), \(P_ 2n\) has an equioscillation property and for \(\lambda\) between 0 and 2 the maximum modulus is attained at tips of the afore mentioned trees. Furthermore \(P_ 2n\) are the denominators of the \([2^ n-1/2^ n]\) Padé approximants to the Cauchy transform of the equilibrium measure of the Julia set. Their zeros as well as the zeros of the numerators are located at branching points of the trees.
