Cocycles, extensions of group actions, and bundle representations (Q789543)

This paper contains a number of results concerning the geometric structure of an extension of an ergodic group action. For instance the author strengthens his previous result characterizing normal ergodic extensions by showing isomorphic normal ergodic extensions induce a group isomorphism between the extending groups which give a cohomology between the cocycles. The author also determines the intermediate factors of a normal extension and gives a ''spectral'' characterization of the skew product extensions where the skew part of the action is a composition of a group action with a given cocycle having Mackey dense range. He also obtains structure results on the cocycle representations which induce representations that are trivial on a normal extension.
