The purpose of the paper is to give a classification of a real solvable Lie algebra \({\mathcal G}\) with dimension 2n satisfying a certain condition. Let G be the simply connected Lie group that corresponds to \({\mathcal G}\), then G operates on \({\mathcal G}\) by the adjoint representation also G operates on the dual space \({\mathcal G}*\) of \({\mathcal G}\) by K(g) defined as \(<K(g)F,X>=<F,Ad(g^{-1})X>,\) \(F\in {\mathcal G}*\), \(X\in {\mathcal G}\), \(g\in G\). It is said that \({\mathcal G}\) satisfies the condition \(\overline{MD}\) if every K-orbit in \({\mathcal G}^*\) has the dimension 0 or 2n. (i) If \({\mathcal G}^ 1:=[{\mathcal G},{\mathcal G}]=(0),\) then \({\mathcal G}\) satisfies clearly the condition and it is shown that \({\mathcal G}\) satisfies the condition \(\overline{MD}\) if and only if \([X,{\mathcal G}]={\mathcal G}^ 1\) for any \(X\in {\mathcal G}\), \(X\neq 0\). The author proves that if non-Abelian \({\mathcal G}\) satisfies \(\overline{MD}\), then (ii) dim \({\mathcal G}^ 1=1\) or (iii) dim \({\mathcal G}^ 1=2\), and obtains the following theorem. Theorem: If \({\mathcal G}\) is a real solvable Lie algebra with even dimension satisfying the condition \(\overline{MD}\), then \({\mathcal G}\) is isomorphic to one of (1) commutative Lie algebra, (2) real affine Lie algebra, or (3) complex affine Lie algebra. The cases (1), (2), (3) in Theorem correspond to (i), (ii), (iii) respectively.
