    The paper under review may be considered as an appendix to the previous paper by the same authors published in [Funkts. Anal. Prilozh. 16, No.3, 1-29 (1984; Zbl 0504.22016)]. In the previous paper the classical Young- Baxter equation \[ [X^{12}(u_ 1,u_ 2),X^{13}(u_ 1,u_ 3)]+[X^{12}(u_ 1,u_ 2),X^{23}(u_ 2,u_ 3)]+[X^{13}(u_ 1,u_ 3),X^{23}(u_ 2,u_ 3)]=0 \] was studied under the following assumptions: a) \(X(u_ 1,u_ 2\in {\mathfrak g}\otimes {\mathfrak g},{\mathfrak g}\) being a simple Lie algebra, dim \({\mathfrak g}<\infty\); b) \(X(u_ 1,u_ 2)\) is meromorphic in \(u_ 1,u_ 2\in U\subseteq {\mathbb{C}}\); c) the tensor \(X(u_ 1,u_ 2)\) is not degenerate for some \(u_ 1,u_ 2\); d) \(X(u_ 1,u_ 2)\) depends only on \(u_ 1-u_ 2\). In the present paper it is proved that every solution to the classical Young-Baxter equation satisfying a)-c) is equivalent to a solution satisfying d).
