This paper is concerned with the stability of the Poiseuille flow of an anisotropic fluid with additives. The rheological model used to describe such a fluid is that of Ericksen's transversely isotropic fluids. The stability of this problem is considered in the linear formulation. The problem is solved and numerical calculations of the neutral stability curve for two-dimensional perturbations are given. It has been shown among other things, that the greater the influence of the additives on the anisotropic properties of the medium, the greater is the stability of the flow.
