      Let \(f\in C(I)\), \(\Pi_ n\) be the subspace of polynomials of degree at most n, of C(I), and \(B_ n(f)\) be the best uniform approximation from \(\Pi_ n\). Let \(M_ n(f)>0\) be the smallest constant such that \(\| p-B_ n(f)\| \leq M_ n(f)(\| f-p\| -\| f-B_ n(f)\|),\) for every \(p\in \Pi_ n\). This paper specifies the order of \(M_ n(f)\) for the class F of nonrational functions (special case \(f(x)=e^ x)\) and it shows that if \(f\in F\) then \(M_ n(f)\) is of order n. Also, the author establishes some results concerning the extrema of \(e_ n(f)=f- B_ n(f)\), \(f\in F\).
