Let \(V\) be a vector space over an algebraically closed field \(K\) of characteristic zero and let \(A\) be an associative subalgebra of \(\End V\) which is generated by the image \(\rho(\mathrm{SL}(2,K))\) of the representation of the algebra \(\mathrm{SL}(2,K)\). The element \(f(x_1,\dots,x_d)\) of the free associative algebra is called an identity of the representation of \(\mathrm{SL}(2,K)\), if for all elements \(a_1,\dots,a_d\in \rho(\mathrm{SL}(2,K))\), \(f(a_1,\dots,a_d)=0\). The author finds the basis of identities of the representation of \(\mathrm{SL}(2,K)\), if \(V\) is a faithful irreducible representation. The proof uses some ideas and methods of Yu. P. Razmyslov.
