A robustness property of m-associates PBIB design, when any t observations are unavailable the design remains connected with respect to treatment, has been studied. The property has been characterized completely for 2-associates and partially for 3-associates designs. The robustness for BIBD was earlier studied by the first author, ibid. 6, 29- 32 (1982; Zbl 0473.62060).
