The present paper investigates the nonlinear stability of time-periodic plane Poiseuille flow. Both the strong energy and the mean energy methods were employed. The time dependency in the basic flow is obtained in virtue of the periodic modulation of the ground temperature. In order to determine the energy stability limits, a combination of Galerkin and Floquet methods is utilized. Authors show that when subjected to thermal modulation, the Poiseuille flow is destabilized according to both strong and mean energy formulations with the mean energy formulation producing a less conservative result. The effect of increasing the modulation parameter is to cause a monotonic decrease in the stability boundary. Also a shift in the critical wave number due to modulation is observed.
