    The authors study the propagation of analyticity of certain differential operators with analytic coefficients. Their main result is Theorem 1.1. Let \(P,\Lambda,\Psi\) satisfy (1.1) - (1.5) and let \(W_ 0\subset T^*X\backslash 0\) be an open neighborhood of \((y_ 0,\eta_ 0)\). Then if \(u\in {\mathcal D}'(X)\) satisfies \[ (y_ 0,\eta_ 0)\not\in WF_ a(P^*u),WF_ a(u)\cap \{(y,\eta)\in W_ 0\cap \Lambda_ R:{\tilde \psi}(y,\eta)<0\}=\emptyset, \] we have \((y_ 0,\eta)\not\in WF_ a(u)\). Here conditions (1.1) - (1.5) require \(p(y_ 0\), \(\eta_ 0)=0,\Lambda\) is a positive Lagrangian manifold, \({\tilde \Psi}(y{}_ 0,\eta_ 0)=0\), and P is nonmicro-characteristic at \((y_ 0,\eta_ 0)\) along \(\Lambda\) in the direction H\({\tilde \Psi}\). The authors go on to discuss some implications of their main result.
