Let G be a finite group. By definition, a character \(\psi\in Irr(G)\) is monomial if it equals the character \(\lambda^ G\) induced from a linear character \(\lambda\) of some subgroup of G. The group G is an M-group if each \(\alpha\in Irr(G)\) is monomial. Now, let N be a normal subgroup of the M-group G such that N is of odd order. It is shown here that the normalizer \(N_ G(\{T^ r\})\) of \(\{T^ r\}\) in G is also an M-group, where by definition \(\{T^ r\}\) is an \({\mathfrak F}\)-system of N in the sense of \textit{R. Carter} and \textit{T. Hawkes} [see J. Algebra 5, 175-202 (1967; Zbl 0167.292)] in which \({\mathfrak F}\) is a saturated formation of solvable groups containing all nilpotent groups.
